Supply Chain Almanac is written by Jesse Ducommun, a working supply chain planner. He has run deployment, supply planning, capacity, and S&OP for consumer products manufacturers, and has led planning teams.

The site explains how planning works in plain words, with numbers. Every example uses one fictional company, so nothing here describes a real employer, plant, or person.

It is vendor-neutral. No software product is praised or criticized by name.
